New COVID-19 Business Policies

New COVID-19 Business Policies

Wee Bit of Heaven strives for the utmost concerns of health-related issues. Therefore, I have initiated the following reopening plans, new protocols, and new policies. Please read below and feel free to text/call me with any questions.

You will be pre-screened before your appointment, making sure you are healthy to receive massage and are not exhibiting any signs of COVID-19. Rest assured, as your practitioner, I will be up front with you as well. Additionally, since we share a large waiting room, please use social distancing while in the office. Following is a list of extended required protocol changes.

Pre & Post Sanitation Protocols

  • Deep cleaning of all spaces, surfaces (light fixtures and switches, doorknobs, doors, and door frames, chairs and floors) and vinyl equipment (bolsters, tables, and stools) with UV Sanitizing Wand and EPA- approved products.
  • All sheets and linens freshly replaced, any clean and used stored in a covered receptacle.

Additional Treatment Room Protocol

  • Staggering of client appointments or texting when client can enter the office.
  • Each client will be asked the following prior to appointment: have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above? Do you now, or have you recently had, any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath? Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days, who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms? If you answer yes, then reschedule, without penalty.
  • Practitioner has the right to cancel appointments if any signs of COVID-19 appear.
  • A no-contact thermometer will be used to take each client’s (and practitioner’s) temperature upon arrival.
  • Hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes, paper towels and facial tissues available in treatment room.
  • Hard surfaced chair or plastic basket for clients to put their clothes on/in.
  • Lidded trash can with a foot pedal for waste.
  • Face masks will be utilized to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
  • Stringent sanitation protocols between each client.
  • Changing of all linens, fleece blankets, and practitioner’s shirt between each massage session. Use of gloves where practical.
  • Touchpads sanitized after each payment transaction. Envelopes placed on the treatment room table for cash payments or greatly appreciated tips.

Safety is an important element of massage therapy, so I welcome any suggestions to make your session as comfortable as possible.
